Tasks can be created to track deliverables associated with a given Total QA page. For example, a task may be added to a measurement device by creating a task on the selected measurement device's edit page. Tasks may be assigned to another user to facilitate communication without the need to leave the software.
- Click the Tasks link to view tasks.
- Click the + link to create a new task that will be associated with the current page.
- If any tasks are assigned to the current page the number of those tasks will be displayed. If the tasks are due in the future the background will be green; if the tasks are due today the background will be yellow; if the tasks are past due the background will be red.
Tasks may be viewed from a number of locations. The following sections detail each.
Tasks for the Current Page
To view any tasks that are assigned to you or that you created for the current page, click the number to the right of the Tasks link in the main navigation panel. If there are no tasks associated with a page, no number will be shown. Below is an example:
From this popup, task can be finished, edited, or deleted by clicking the links to the right of the task.

From this popup, task can be finished, edited, or deleted by clicking the links to the right of the task. Further the "Finished Tasks" button will show any finished tasks. Below is an example:
Measurement Device Tasks Due in 90 Days
Any tasks associated with a measurement device that are due within the next 90 days will be shown on the Review page under the Equipment section. Below is an example:

Any tasks associated with a specific measurement device will be displayed under the Tasks heading when editing that measurement device:
To edit a measurement device navigate to Manage Measurement Devices and click the edit link for the desired device.
Navigate to the desired page that the task will be associated with and click the + link to the right of the Tasks link in the main navigation panel. This will open the popup shown below:
Add a description of the task in the "About the task..." box, optionally select a due date, assign the task using the "Assigned To: dropdown, optionally set the task to email the assignee or email the creator upon completion, set any reminders, and click the "Add task" button.
Open all tasks by clicking the Tasks link in the main navigation pane or open tasks for a specific page by clicking the number to the right of the Tasks link in the main navigation panel. Click the Edit link for the desired task. The Edit task page is shown below:
Make any desired edits and click the "Update task" button.
