Setting QA Settings for Schedules
If the tests you have chosen for your template have settings that need to be selected or can have defaults set you can set them from the Manage QA Settings page.
To open the manage QA settings page, navigate to the Manage - Schedule Configurations page.
The Manage - Schedule Configurations page will appear. Hover the mouse over the schedule and click the edit QA settings button.
Click on the QA template for which you want to define settings.
If settings have already been set for this schedule they will be displayed.
Click the Edit QA Settings button in the upper right corner. The Edit QA settings page will open.
Select the calibration equipment that will be used with this QA template. If you wish to allow the equipment to be changed when performing QA, select this option.
Select the Dose Units you would like your output results to be displayed in.
Select the energies that will be tested for this QA template.
If the tests you have selected for this template have adjustable parameters they will be displayed here. For example, many output test allow you to select the number of raw readings to collect:
You may set the default values.
Once you have finished entering in your techniques for your QA template, click the Save Machine QA settings button at the bottom of the page.
You should receive a green notice in the bottom right corner indicating that “Machine QA Settings saved”.
If you received a red notice that your Machine QA Settings were unable to be saved, please try again and if the problem persists contact customer support.
Selecting Energies for Energy Dependent Tests
Tests Connected to DQA3 and QABC databases
When selecting energies for daily output tests using DQA3 and QABC databases it is preferable to have the equipment hub running and connected to the database before setting the energies. The settings interface will then display the energies that are contained in the database and once an energy is selected a drop down list of rooms that contain that energy will be displayed. Select which room from which to pull the reading. This feature allows the user to take advantage of the workaround in the QABC and DQA3 databases where the same value energy (e.g. 6X and 6X SRS) are accommodated by assigning them to different rooms.
Energy Dependent Tests with Energy Ratios
For monthly output tests with associated energy ratio tests (TPR and PDI) when an output test is selected, a check box appears under the column for the ratio test. Select the ratio test if desired. This feature is useful in cases where output for gated delivery or EDW is conducted but an associated energy ratio test is not desired.
Selecting Energies on Energy Dependent Tests
Each energy dependent test on a schedule can have its energies individually selected.
Ordering Energies on Energy Dependent Tests
The order that energies appear on the schedule can be changed by dragging and dropping.
Adding Instructional Documents or Links to QA Schedules
Links to documents or web pages may be added to a schedule for easy access while entering data. To add a document or a link proceed to the Edit QA Settings page as explained in the previous section. At the top of the page, you will see a heading called Schedule Instructions.
If Document is selected on the radio buttons you may upload a new file. Note that the file will be added to your document repository after uploading with the type set as Instructions.
You may also select an existing file from your document repository. Documents that are not hidden are shown with a lighter background at the top of the list. Hidden documents are shown towards the bottom of the list with a darker background. Select the document you wish to add as an instruction.
You may also specify a link to a web page instead of a document.
Make sure to save the QA settings by clicking on the Save Machine QA Settings button at the bottom of the page. Once the Schedule QA settings have been set they will appear on the page showing the existing QA settings for the schedule. The link is live for testing.
When performing QA, if a schedule instruction link is set you will see a button labeled Instructions in the upper right corner of the page. Clicking on the button will open the link or document in a separate tab. If the file type is not one that can be displayed in the browser it will be downloaded instead.
Adding Test Equipment
When performing a QA, it may be advantageous to have a record of which tests equipment was used. If test equipment is selected for a report or a specific test, this will be shown on the final report and cannot be changed after the report is finalized.
Test equipment set in QA settings will be automatically added to new QA. This provides the ability to associate any measurement device or equipment with individual tests or test sections by either presetting them or allowing a selection during data entry.
To add test equipment proceed to the Edit QA Settings page as explained in the previous sections. You have the option to add test equipment for individual tests:
