To set limits and warnings for your account, select the "Settings" tab and then "Limits"
You can select what type of warning you would like for each limit as shown below. For email warnings, enter the email addresses you would like the warning sent to and if a specific message is wanted. The specified warning message will be included in both "Log Warnings" and "Email Warnings".
Selecting "Log Warning" or "Email Warning" will include screen warnings.
Types of Warnings
Email warnings automatically go to the address entered during signup and to the email address of the uploader (if different). Addresses can be added in the "Warning Email CC" box, separated by commas.
A sample warning email is below.
Log warnings are listed on the "Warnings" tab. Links to the reports are available from this page.
Screen Only Warnings
Screen Only warnings are built into the page. Measurements out of limit will show in red.
Selecting Appropriate Limits
The monitoring of sensitometry target values over time can provide valuable information, indicating changes in scanner performance. The following are minimum and maximum measured values from a sample of 94 scans using different scanners and protocols. HU can vary dramatically between scanners and imaging protocols. Numbers outside this range are not unusual. Water was not measured so nominal values of +/- 7 HU are given.
Please note: Given a specific imaging protocol the variability of these materials will be much smaller. Typically within 1-2%. However, by monitoring your own system through frequent QA testing, you will be able to define appropriate limits.
