Introduction

New user role aliases can be created that will be based on the built in user roles. Initially only owners will be able to see and manage user roles but this permission can be assigned to custom user roles. To manage user roles, navigate to the Manage User Roles page:

From the Manage User Roles page you can

• create a new user role by clicking the + Create Role button.
• delete an alias by clicking the Delete button, note that you cannot delete a role that is in use by a user
• modify a role by clicking the Modify button

Create User Role

To create a user role click the + Create Role button as shown below:

When creating a new role, a dialogue window will open.

Provide a name for the role, select one of the built in roles as a starting point, and click the Submit button. Once completed a number of role specific attributes will be shown. Select the appropriate attributes for the new role and click the Save button.

Name Attribute

The name for the role can be created or edited in the name field. This name will be shown on all pages where a role can be selected.

Special Role Attributes

There are three special attributes:

• Guest users are user that need to see reports but should not be allowed to complete new QA. As such, these users will not be able to see the Schedules page.
• Service Engineers have special notification rules under the Manage Machine Log pages.
• The last attribute gives a user access to items under the Manage menu but only for machines they have been connected to under their user profile. They will also have access to items under the Manage menu that do not require a machine connect, such as measurement devices, custom energies, or radioactive sources.

Permission Attributes

Each major menu has its own permissions. See the sections below for full details.

Reports

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• View reports and longitudinal data.
• Perform QA allows the opening, editing, saving, and finalizing new QA.
• Sign Off allow the sign off and voiding of unsigned reports.
• Analysis screen allows full access to everything under the Analysis menu.
• Reopen finalized allows finalized reports to be re-opened.

Documents

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• View documents under the Documents menu.
• Manage allows all management functions under the Document menu.

Machine Log

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Create Machine Log incidents.
• Edit Machine Log incidents.
• Manage allows all management functions under Manage Machine Log.
• Delete Machine Log incidents.

Tasks

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Use allows the creation, editing, and completion of tasks assigned to the user.
• Manage allows the editing and deletion of all tasks.

Machines

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows the editing of machines under Manage Sites and Machines. Linac type machines contain settings for TG-51 such as photon and electron beam factors.
• View allows viewing of machine details.
• Custom Machine Types allows the creation, editing, and deletion of custom machine types.

Equipment

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows the creation, editing, and deletion of all Equipment Hubs and measurement devices, as well as creation and editing of calibration factors associated with a measurement device.
• View allows viewing of Equipment Hubs and measurement devices.
• Manage Radioactive Sources allows the creation, editing, and deletion of radioactive sources.

Schedules

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows the creation, editing, and deactivation of all schedules and their associated tolerances and QA settings under the Manage Schedule Configurations page. Manage also allows the copying of schedules.
• View allows viewing of all items under the Manage Schedule Configurations page.

Sites

Users with this role permission will be able to:

• Manage allows the editing of sites and bulk assigning users to machines under Manage Sites and Machines.

Users

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows the creation, editing, and deactivation of users under the Manage Users menu.
• View allows viewing of user attributes.
• Manage User Roles allows the creation, editing, and deletion of custom user roles.

Development

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows viewing, editing, and deletion of all API keys assigned to the user. The owner role can additional manage the API keys of other users.

ILS

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage all items under the Manage ILS menu, such as  safety committee members and ILS fields (categories, custom fields, severities, and hazards). 

Templates

Users with these role permissions will be able to:

• Manage allows the creation, editing, and sharing of templates under the Manage Templates menu.
• View allows viewing of templates and the tests they contain.
• Manage Custom Tests allows the creation, editing, hiding, and deletion of custom tests.

Manage User Roles

To modify a user role click the Modify link:
