Errors for Equipment Hub will appear on the lower right corner of the browser.
The error will only appear when trying to test the connection when creating or editing the measurement device under Manage Measurement Devices.
Below is a list of common fixes for the "Unable to connect to database" error.
Ensure that the database path is correct. |
Ensure the user name and password are correct. The default password is 7601. |
Ensure that the Microsoft SQL server is running and that port 1433 is open between the computer the database is on and the computer the Equipment Hub is installed on. |
Ensure that the database path is correct and that the user the Equipment Hub is logged in as has permissions to reach the file. |
Ensure that the database server name or IP address is correct. Use only the DNS name or IP address. Do not precede the name with '\\'. |
